Last year, I was introduced to Arthur Affleck from Fayetteville State University as we were placed in the same foursome for the golf at BOC in Greenville, SC. After batting the ball around for several hours, Tony and I both got to know him a bit. We didn’t talk much business, but we did form the foundation of a relationship and invited him to another golf event a month later.
During our second round, Arthur invited us to visit him at Fayetteville State University to learn more about our capabilities and discuss some web marketing needs. We have just initiated our first project with Arthur and none of this would have happened without the initial introduction and opportunity to get to know him at BOC.
I hope that we’ll be able to follow up on this success story with an expanded scope of work and solid relationship in a few months from now.
